A 23-year-old climber fell about seven meters on Saturday in the Brunnstein climbing garden in Zirl and hit the back of his head on the rock.

His 24-year-old colleague secured him.Unconscious in the ropeWhen the 23-year-old tried to hang the rope in the bolt in the area of the seventh intermediate belay, he fell backwards for reasons that are not yet clear and after about seven meters he hit the back of his head against the rock . He was then left severely injured and unconscious on the rope. He was lowered by other climbers and flown by helicopter to the Innsbruck clinic.
