Accident on the Arlberg – driver jumped out when truck fell 60 meters

Luck and his quick reaction saved a truck driver from the worst in a crash on the Arlberg. The 60-meter fall ended without serious injuries.

The local (21) was reversing a truck along a forest path in St. Anton am Arlberg at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday to deliver something. He went too far to the right, which is why he fell about 60 meters down a steep embankment and the vehicle rolled over several times.Jump from the driver’s cab was successfulThe 21-year-old was able to push himself off the driver’s cab with his foot and jump out before he ended up lying on the steep embankment next to the truck.Returned to the forest path by himselfThe driver was able to get back to the forest path by himself and only suffered a few abrasions all over his body. He then sought medical treatment on his own. The truck suffered considerable material damage.
