Accident: the car was smoking – the policeman rushed to help with a hand-held fire extinguisher

An accident occurred Thursday evening at the Pischeldorfer Straße/Dammgasse intersection in Klagenfurt. After two cars collided, one car started to smoke. However, the Klagenfurt professional fire brigade had to move in to extinguish the fire in the engine compartment.

Also with a hand-held powder fire extinguisher, following vehicle drivers were able to help a car driver (61) from Spittal an der Drau on Thursday afternoon on Drautal Straße (B 100) near Töplitsch after his car had suddenly started smoking. The fire was probably caused by a torn V-belt and the resulting heat generation. The Töplitsch fire brigade took over the post-extinguishing work.
