Since the Italian was the last to sit in the back seat of the police car, the officers began investigating him. He was brought in for inspection on December 19 from the Bischofshofen train station because a conductor on the train looked suspicious of him and he had notified the police. The police found drug accessories and documents made out to a Nigerian in the 45-year-old’s backpack. He found this, he said at the time. The Italian was dismissed after the official act. The documents now led to the Nigerian who wanted to travel from Italy to Berlin on December 19. In Salzburg, 300 euros and the documents were stolen from him. Since he was then no longer able to identify himself at the border, he was not allowed to enter Germany. He then reported the theft to the Austrian Aliens Police in Salzburg.
