Accor announces an 8% increase in its turnover in the first quarter

(Boursier.com) — The hotel group Accor reported an 8% increase in revenue in the first quarter, helped by strong momentum in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East markets. The group thus recorded a turnover of 1.24 billion euros. Accor also announced revenue per available room (RevPAR) up 8% year-on-year. The Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific region shows a RevPAR up 12% compared to the first quarter of 2023.

“During this first quarter, marked by the group’s return to the CAC 40, Accor once again recorded solid performances with revenue growth in all regions, particularly in the Middle East and Asia. -Pacific,” said Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Accor.

The first quarter of 2024 once again demonstrates the solidity of hotel demand in all regions and segments of the Accor group. The operational performance indicators (RevPAR and portfolio growth) are all positively oriented and the Group continued to manage its balance sheet in line with its commitments.
During the first quarter of 2024, Accor opened 53 hotels corresponding to more than 8,000 rooms, representing net network growth of 3.1% over the last 12 months.
At the end of March 2024, the Group had a hotel portfolio of 825,313 rooms (5,613 hotels) and a pipeline of 224,000 rooms (1,297 hotels).

The French hotel group also reiterated its medium-term outlook.
