Accor: nearly 10 million shares will be canceled




(Boursier.com) — The hotel group Accor has already finalized its 400 million euro share buyback program announced on February 22, 2024.

A first tranche of share buybacks covering 275 million euros was carried out through a share purchase contract signed with the Chinese shareholder Jinjiang International on March 11, 2024. The transaction concerned 7 million shares. at a price per Accor share of 39.22 euros.

The balance of the share buyback program, launched on March 20, 2024, for 125 million euros was finalized on April 4 with the acquisition of 2,923,228 shares at an average price of 42.93 euros.

At the end of this program, the group acquired 9,923,228 shares at an average price of 40.31 euros. These shares will be canceled in the coming weeks and represent just under 4% of Accor’s capital.
