Accor replaces Alstom within the CAC 40

The Euronext index council met and decided on a new modification of the CAC 40. This is the second modification of the flagship index of the Parisian market in three months. The last time, it was Vivendi who returned in place of Worldline.

This time the bets were open between the two smallest capitalizations of the CAC 40, in this case Teleperformance and Alstom. It is ultimately the latter which will leave the index and which will be replaced by the Accor hotel group whose capitalization currently reaches around 10 billion euros. Alstom for its part now only weighs 4.6 billion on the stock market while the stock has fallen by more than 56% in the space of a year.

Teleperformance is doing well this time and the group’s management will no doubt congratulate this small improvement as the stock has just experienced a huge purge of more than 23% during the day after presenting its 2023 results.
