Accor: the structure evolves, reorganization by ranges


(CercleFinance.com) – Accor announced on Friday the creation of two operational divisions, based on an organization by ranges, a new structure to enable the hotel group to accelerate its growth and better respond to market developments.

Since January 1, Accor’s activities have been based on two distinct divisions: a branch dedicated to premium, midscale and economy and the other dedicated to luxury and lifestyle. .

The so-called ‘premium, mid-range and economy’ division will be placed under the direction of deputy general manager and financial director Jean-Jacques Morin.

It will be structured around four regions (Americas, Europe & North Africa, Middle East, Africa, Turkey & Asia-Pacific and finally Greater China).

The luxury and lifestyle division will be entrusted to CEO Sébastien Bazin and centered around four brands, namely Raffles & Orient Express, Fairmont, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems and Ennismore.

In a press release, Accor explains that the creation of these two operational divisions, each with identified objectives, will enable it to make optimal use of its portfolio and to pursue its development dynamic.

In order to operate this new structure, a group management committee chaired by Sébastien Bazin has been set up with the aim of ensuring the consistency and alignment of the two divisions, both in terms of strategy and performance.

The group’s new organization – currently being rolled out gradually over the first quarter of the year – should in particular provide better clarity and better performance for partners.

Following these announcements, Accor shares rose 1.2% on Friday at midday on the Paris Stock Exchange, compared with a gain of 0.2% for the SBF 120 index.
