Accor: Upward revision of the EBITDA target for 2022 now expected between 610 and 640 million euros Exclusive negotiations for the…

  • Full benefit from the acceleration of summer activity supported by marketing and sales investments in the first half;

  • Continued execution of the “asset-light” strategy.

The Group expects, for its Owner Services activity, which notably includes sales, marketing, distribution and loyalty, to return to a balanced EBITDA (EBITDA) in the second half of 2022. This return to the balance, which reflects the good resilience of the Group, is explained in particular by the strong recovery in activity during the summer and is the result of the marketing and sales investments made in the first half of 2022. The positive impact of these investments, the maintenance of strict discipline on the cost base and the strong dynamism of the activity thus allow the Group to raise its EBITDA target for the 2022 financial year, initially announced above 550 million euros and now expected between 610 and 640 million euros.

The Accor group also announces that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with the Valesco Group (The Valesco Group) in order to sell the building of its head office in Paris, the Sequana Tower, for an amount of 465 million euros. This sale is accompanied by a 12-year “sale and leaseback”. The transaction, subject to the usual due diligence, should be completed by the end of the year. It is part of the Group’s “asset-light” strategy, which aims in particular to simplify the structure of Accor’s balance sheet.
