The next processors
mobiles with integrated graphics solution signed AMD seems to benefit from a nice boost.
It’s an understatement to say that we had them in our sights and while waiting for the publication of independent results, the Ryzen 6000s, codenamed Rembrandt, were unveiled by AMD with immediate release for the 6000HS and a little later for the 6000HX and 6000U.
Radeon 660M / 680M boosted APUs
The Ryzen 6000HS series is designed for gaming laptops called ” thin » (thin) including 15-inch models. The 6000HX range will target beefier machines, while the 6000U is intended for ” ultrathin », the thinnest laptops.
One of the main arguments of the Ryzen 6000s is of course the integration of a Radeon 600M graphics solution based on RDNA 2. Depending on the APU, there is talk of a Radeon 680M (12 cores) or a Radeon 660M (6 cores) with, as a result, interesting performances.
Basically, according to the graphics presented by AMD, the Radeon 680M is a little behind the GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q. On the other hand, when you activate the FSR, it passes in front. AMD takes the example of a Ryzen 7 6800U, the price of which will obviously have to be checked before getting carried away.
Also remember that the GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q, Turing generation without Tensor core, cannot take advantage of DLSS. On the other hand, it would have been possible here to activate the FSR, which AMD does not seem to have achieved on the tests it presents. Necessarily.
Unveiled in January at CES 2022, the new Ryzen 6000 mobile processors were presented from every angle by AMD engineers during Ryzen Mobile Tech Day, organized last week. We take stock of the novelties offered by these new chips which will power an ever-increasing number of laptops in 2022.
