According to new instructions – aid organizations are no longer a taxi for testing

Since July 1, the Austrian health insurance fund has no longer paid for all Covid transports by the rescue organizations. What can be billed further and where you have to pay in the future.

There are increasing signs that the federal government wants to quietly and secretly declare the end of the corona pandemic. After the sudden end of compulsory vaccination, the “Krone” recently also reported on secret plans that the quarantine could be abolished or at least weakened. Now the system continues to save. Due to an instruction from the Ministry of Health, aid organizations such as the Red Cross of the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) are no longer allowed to charge for all Corona transports. The helpers were only informed about the changes on Tuesday – but they have been in effect since Friday. Transports of infected people can still be billed according to medical transport instructions or for treatment. However, the ÖGK may no longer be billed for trips to vaccination or test roads and quarantine facilities, as confirmed by the Red Cross. Up to 14,000 cases threaten this summer. These changes appear questionable in view of the growing summer corona wave. The Lower Austria authorities do not want to rule out new record numbers of new infections. The previous high was reached on March 15th. 12,522 positive PCR tests were reported. In the summer it could be 14,000. Unless the federal government also abolishes the tests beforehand
