Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have been found guilty in the mutual defamation lawsuit. For the most part, however, the jury sided with Depp. Many celebrity colleagues are also happy online with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star.
For weeks, ex-spouses Johnny Depp, 58, and Amber Heard, 36, fought a mud fight in a bizarre mutual defamation lawsuit in a US court. On June 1, 2022, the verdict was reached: the jury found both parties guilty, but Johnny Depp was mostly right.
The court ruling is a victory for Johnny Depp
Heard, 36, is set to pay her 58-year-old ex-husband $15 million in damages, while Depp has to pay Heard $2 million in damages. Even if the sum falls far short of the 50 million he originally asked of her, the court ruling is a sweeping victory for Depp. Simply put, it means she lied.

Amber Heard was deeply saddened and disappointed by the verdict. Sharon Osbourne, 69, who has publicly sided with the ‘Sleppy Hollow’ star in the past, was surprised by the verdict, telling Piers Morgan’s talk show: “Wow, it wasn’t that , which I expected. Amy Schumer sticks with Amber Heard
Amy Schumer, 41, is one of the few celebrities to show solidarity with Amber Heard. The American posted a quote from feminist Gloria Steinem on Instagram: “Any woman who chooses to act like a full human being should be warned. The armies of the status quo will treat her like a dirty joke. You will need her sisterhood.”
These women also stand by the actress
In court, Amber Heard also received support from two women who did not leave her side. On the one hand there is her partner, Bianca Butti, 39. The bisexual Heard, who came out in 2010, lives her love for the camera woman publicly.
