A case that shakes the world of cinema. After denouncing the influence she suffered from Benoît Jacquot when she was a teenager, the actress recently decided to file a complaint against the famous director for “Violent rape of a minor under 15 years old”and accused another director of assaulting her. The latter deny the facts. After Anny Duperey, Fabrice Luchini spoke about Judith Godrèche’s complaint when he came on the set of the show Dailybroadcast this Monday, February 12 on TMC. “I could say that I’m not going to add comment to comment. My personal position is not of such great importance for me to say it. But all these events reminded me of something.”he declared to Yann Barthès in a sequence spotted by our colleagues at TV Magazine.
After this subtle pirouette, the 72-year-old actor remembered the behavior of director Éric Rohmer on the sets of the films Claire’s knee (1970), then Perceval the Welsh (1978). “TAll his life he fell in love with actresses, but since he was a genius of sublimation, everything was virtual and platonic. Which means that Rohmer was the great contemporary Marivaux and he never wanted to make the potential of his desire concrete. For simplicity, Rohmer has always been platonic and no woman has been unhappy”, he told the talk show host. After this long tirade, Jean-Michel Apathy asked him if there was “a way of deploring the directors who were cited and who were not platonic”. To which the man of letters replied: “We all have a technique to escape these questions. Camus’s sentence goes down well: ‘A man can’t‘”, he first replied. Before estimating as a conclusion: “I will answer that I am for Éric Rohmer, I think desire is meant to be sublimated, especially in cinema and there’s no getting into the reality of that.” All is said.

A few days before Fabrice Luchini, Julie Gayet reacted to the courageous speeches of Judith Godrèche. In the columns of Journal.infoon February 10, the wife of François Hollande declared that the testimonies of Tess’s mother and other personalities of the seventh art are “a good thing”. As for the two directors that Judith Godrèche accuses, the 51-year-old actress admitted that this will again involve the “word against word” since it is a “rape case” of which “the proof is very difficult to provide”.
In all frankness, she emphasized that cinema is “a very violent industry for those who speak out”. “This brings us back to the question of whistleblowers speaking out. They face double punishment : victim of their attacker, victim of the environment, who does not like these matters to be made public. However, thanks to them, things move forward and this protects those who come next“, she rejoiced. Julie Gayet praised the strength of Judith Godrèche, for which she “much respect”.
