Accused of having killed a friend to steal her baby: an American in court

An American was brought to court this week as part of preliminary hearings for her trial. She is accused of having killed a friend to steal her baby.

She is accused of having done the unimaginable. An American living in Texas appeared in court on Thursday in preliminary hearings before her trial. She is being prosecuted for killing a friend in order to steal her baby. The hearing was held in Travis County Court in Austin on Tuesday. Magen Fieramusca is accused of having murdered Heidi Broussard, in 2019, then of having kidnapped her daughter who had just been born. Heidi Broussard was found dead in the trunk of a car parked at the suspect’s house. Magen Fieramusca would have asphyxiated Heidi Broussard by strangling her to death with a leash, then her hands.

At the time of the investigation, legal documents had indicated that the suspect had then presented the newborn, a little girl named Margot, as her own, in particular to her own companion. Tragic detail, when Heidi Broussard gave birth to the child, Magen Fieramusca was with her in the delivery room. She even held his hand. Another friend who was there told the police that the suspect was telling everyone that she too was pregnant and was due to give birth within weeks of Margo’s birth. To hide her belly, she used a pillow.

Then, while she was taking part in the search to find Heidi Broussard, Magen Rose Fiermusca had told a police officer that she had given birth on December 12 but had been unable to give more details or even to prove with official documents the birth of a baby. On the day of this interrogation, Heidi’s body had not yet been found. If convicted, Magen Fieramusca could be sentenced to death. Prosecutors, however, have not yet announced what they intend to claim.
