Initially planned for the summer of 2019 then at the same period the following year, Top Gun: Maverick chained postponements due to the health crisis. While it was to see the light of day last November, it was postponed for the last time to May 25, 2022 in France, and Asobo Studio who was preparing an extension in the colors of the film for Microsoft Flight Simulator had to follow suit.
Perhaps helped by these repeated postponements, another video game will soon collaborate with the feature film. This is’Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknownthe title with fighter planes from Bandai Namco Gamespublished 3 years ago, but which was still entitled to DLCs last year.
The partnership will include at least one air vehicle and probably some customization items, but the publisher has not yet specified the content or even the price and release date of these new features.
