In 1994 in the United States and the following year for us, animal detective Ace Ventura made his film debut and launched the career of Jim Carrey. Since then, the American comedy, directed by Tom Shadyac and carried by Jim Carrey therefore, alongside Courteney Cox, has been the subject of a real cult.
With its budget of $15 million and grossing $107.2 million at the worldwide box office, Ace Ventura: Detective for Cats and Dogs is what you might call a triumph. Faced with this success, a franchise was born, consisting of the sequel to the film Ace Ventura in Africa (1995), the animated television series Ace Ventura (1995-2000) as well as the television film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Jr. ( 2009).
