Each year, the Next@Acer events are an opportunity for the Taiwanese manufacturer to announce new products and the renewal of its PC ranges. In addition to gaming innovations and even an electric bike, the Aspire Vero has had its share of improvements, with a newer processor and a new colorful dress.
A little more recycled materials on the program
The hallmark of the Aspire Vero is its partially recycled plastic chassis. This year, the rate of recycled material increases from 30 to 40%, while the keyboard remains at 50%; but this time, an effort has been made on the charger side, which is also 50% recycled. In addition, the previously neutral gray and blue colors give way to a rather nice fir green, which changes a little from the traditional black or gray that we see everywhere.
A component-side update
Inside, we will now find a 13th generation Intel Core i7 processor, accompanied by 16 GB of DDR5 RAM and 1 TB of storage for the most muscular configuration, as well as recent standards on the connection side with two USB-C Thunderbolt ports. 4, USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, HDMI 2.1, mini-jack and wifi 6E.
The format otherwise remains the same with a 15.6-inch screen and 1080p, but we are also confined to 16:9 with a fairly thick lower border. Good news on the webcam side, since a QHD 1440 module, which should in theory deliver solid image quality, is now included.
The PC will be available from resellers from August. It will take a starting price of 900 €, probably in Core i5 for this price.
