Acer presents the Predator Orion X, a small desktop PC, certainly, but which has it in the belly

Acer today presents its brand new desktop computer designed for gaming. And make no mistake: despite its small size, this one has power to spare.

If the Acer brand has recently tried electric bikes, it does not forget its favorite field: computers.

A PC designed for DIY and optimization enthusiasts

On this Thursday, April 20, Acer has just unveiled its new powerful desktop computer: the Predator Orion X. Equipped with a 13th generation Intel Core processor, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card with liquid cooling system, the latter has every intention of establishing itself as the compact and powerful gaming PC par excellence. Because yes, if he obviously bets a lot on what he has in his stomach, he also intends to surprise us with his small size.

In terms of design, Acer offers us here a PC that looks like a space capsule. From its (only) 9 kg and 15.4 L, the beast promises a high level of accessibility and customization. The chassis has three main areas that are easily identifiable from the front, each giving access to well-compartmentalized elements of the tower: area 1 gives you access to the CPU, power supply and SSD; zone 2 hides the VGA and two 2.5-inch SATA hard drive slots; and zone 3 is used to house the CPU liquid cooler.

Finally, count on the presence of 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and two M.2 SSDs of 1 TB each. Enough to allow our gamer friends to sleep soundly.

Predator Orion X: connectivity, price and release date

In terms of connectivity, we find at the front a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port, a USB Gen1 Type-A port, a microphone and an audio jack. At the back, there is a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port, the 3 USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports and the RJ45 port. The beast also comes with a rotating arm that acts as a helmet rest.

Regarding availability, this new PC signed Acer will be marketed in Europe, China and North America from next September. If you hope to get your hands on the Predator Orion X, you will have to invest no less than 2,499 euros (the amount can go beyond depending on the configuration chosen).
