Achieve climate goals – Bernstein takes off as an “e5” congregation

The big start of the “e5” congregation campaign is being celebrated in Bernstein today. Experts will provide information about climate protection and renewable energies throughout Saturday morning. Test drives with e-bikes and e-cars are also offered for those interested. In this way the community should become even more environmentally friendly in the future.

With the “e5” program, communities are supported on their way to a more sustainable and climate-friendly future. Bernstein is the first municipality in Burgenland to take part in the campaign.

Big information event
Already at the first official presentation in June, Mayor Renate Habetler stated that, in addition to targeted measures, there was a particular focus on raising awareness. A first step will be taken with the information event on Saturday in the Madonnenschlössl. From 9 a.m. to 12 noon, renowned experts will give lectures and provide information, for example, on the “Program for Energy-Efficient Communities”.

For those who prefer hands-on experience, e-bikes will be available to try out. Special highlight: In addition to other e-car brands, there is also a Tesla for testing. Informative one-hour nature walks are offered for children. Start is at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
