Action Logement back in the green in 2022

Action Logement, giant of HLM and housing aid, returned to the green in 2022, after two consecutive years of losses linked to a massive investment plan, according to its annual report published Thursday.

The former 1% Housing, co-managed by employers and unions, has reappointed its president Bruno Arcadipane, representative of Medef, for a third term. Philippe Lengrand, for the CFDT, remains vice-president.

In 2022, the group generated a positive result of some 200 million euros, against a loss of 1.4 billion in 2021.

This result is partly due to increased resources, including the contribution on companies (PEEC) which enabled it to collect 1.73 billion euros.

A giant of social housing, with a stock of 1.09 million social and intermediate housing units, Action Logement also finances public policies for urban renewal and aid for housing and professional mobility.

In 2022, it obtained some 43,000 permits to build social housing, just under half of the national total.

Among its mobility and housing aid, the Visale rental guarantee, targeting young people and low-income workers, served more than 325,000 households in 2022.

Often the subject of conflicts with the State over its financing, Action Logement signed a new five-year agreement with the government in mid-June, which provides for 14.4 billion euros in investments over five years.
