The Burgenland police conducted nationwide grid squares on Friday and Saturday. Eight drivers had too much alcohol – most of all an Eisenstadt resident (2.2 per mille). A 20-year-old without a license was driving an unregistered car.

Over the two days, 115 police officers checked around 1,150 vehicles. Eight people were driving under the influence of alcohol. It turned out that the three drivers had driven the bus for around 110 hours without a prescribed break. The onward journey was prohibited. In the Jennersdorf district, the officials caught a 20-year-old Styrian without a driver’s license. The car was not registered for traffic. A 20-year-old was slightly injured in an accident between two cars in the local area of ​​Illmitz. The alcohol test gave a value of 0.75, an alcohol test was no longer possible due to asthma.
