Activision has launched its closed alpha for Project Aurora, the codename for Warzone on iOS and Android.

If Call of Duty has several projects in the pipelinelike the Modern Warfare 2 which has just been formalized and perhaps a Warzone 2 for 2023, we know that a mobile game adapted from the Battle Royale of the license has been confirmed for 2022. CoD will therefore return to smartphones (in addition to CoD Mobile) with Project Aurora, the new game from Activision. Planned for iOS and Androidthis new Warzone for mobiles is also launching in closed alpha for a handful of players.

This first full-scale test will allow the studio to see feedback from players and fixing the main bugs encountered. Activision will publish the results of these tests on its blog in the future, while the first official information has been revealed about this project via the FAQ.

You may have heard rumors about the Aurora Project in the depths of Reddit or through speculation on YouTube, but we haven’t revealed anything officially yet. The game is still in development, and we’re in the middle of our first gameplay test in the Closed Alpha of the Aurora Project. The size of the Closed Alpha is limited and we just want to start improving settings, testing games, identifying and fixing bugs, and gathering feedback and ideas on all aspects of the game as we go along. and as new features come online.

Unfortunately, you cannot currently request your own access for the game. However, Activision plans to open the alpha to new players during the construction phase and beyond, we can therefore hope for a beta very soon. For those with access, remember that data and progress will not carry over into the final game.
