Activity bonus, RSA, family allowances… The CAF transfer lower than expected in August?

Social benefits paid by the CAF must be increased by 4%. But you may have to wait to see the color. Here’s why.

It is done. On Wednesday, Parliament definitively adopted a series of purchasing power measures. Among them, the 4% increase in several allowances such as the RSA, the activity bonus, the birth bonus, family allowances, or the allowance for disabled adults. This increase must be implemented with retroactive effect from 1 July.

But for that, the law still needs to be promulgated, which should happen in the coming days. This is when your benefits can be enhanced. In concrete terms, you may have to wait a month before taking advantage of this exceptional 4% revaluation.

A transfer on August 5

Indeed, it is this Friday that CAF must make the transfer of benefits for the month of July. But as the law which provides for the increase in social benefits has just been adopted, the revaluation may not take place immediately.

Asked by MoneyVox, the National Family Allowance Fund (CNAF) merely recalled the message addressed to recipients that all information on the amounts and dates of implementation will be communicated on the caf.fr site, as soon as possible.

A catch-up in September?

In any case, don’t panic, you will benefit from the 4% revaluation with retroactive effect from July 1st. If you are concerned by this increase, it will be paid to you automatically. You will have no steps to take, indicates CAF. This boost could come on the occasion of the transfer which will be made on Monday, September 5 for August benefits. CAF could also decide to make you an additional transfer in August, corresponding to the 4% revaluation expected for July services.

This is what she has just announced to the beneficiaries of the back-to-school allowance. Paid since August 2 to the inhabitants of Mayotte and La Runion, it will be paid to beneficiaries in mainland France, the Antilles and Guyana on August 16. The 4% revaluation, announced by the government, will be paid automatically to all beneficiaries in a second payment a few days later. For example, a family in mainland France with a 7-year-old child will receive 376.98 euros in back-to-school allowance on August 16. Then 15.07 euros (amount of the revaluation of 4%) a few days later, explains the CAF.
