Actress Anne Heche dies a week after car accident

LAmerican actress Anne Heche, who was in a desperate state after a car accident last week in Los Angeles, has died. His family confirmed the sad news with The Guardian. Anne Heche was 53 years old. Thursday evening, the doctors who had taken care of her had explained that a brain injury like the one she had suffered during her accident left no chance of survival.

After the accident, the actress’ representatives quickly told the American media that she suffered “serious injuries” to the brain, leaving no hope of survival. They said she was being kept alive to donate her organs. “It has long been her choice to donate her organs and she is being kept alive to determine if any are viable,” the statement said.

The text thanks the supporters of Anne Heche, as well as the nursing staff who took care of her at the Grossman burn center at West Hills Hospital, north of Los Angeles. “Anne had a big heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit,” the statement continued.

Anne Heche’s accident caused a “heavy fire”

“More than her extraordinary talent, she considered spreading kindness and joy to be her life’s work,” the text continues, adding that “she will be remembered for her courageous honesty.”

The actress had been in a coma since her crash on Aug. 5 when her car slammed into a two-story house in the Mar Vista neighborhood, “causing structural damage as well as a massive fire,” according to Los Angeles Fire Department. The fire took 65 minutes for 59 firefighters to put out, according to the same source.

Los Angeles police said in a statement Thursday that they would conduct blood tests on Anne Heche and that investigators would “bring the matter to the proper legal authority.” The police, however, did not give any details on possible legal consequences.
