For her participation in the #Upsleeves campaign, Uschi Glas has received insults and even death threats from angry anti-vaccination opponents.

With the #ArmelHoch campaign from the Federal Ministry of Health, several stars also encouraged the population of Germany to protect themselves and others with a vaccination against the corona virus. Among others, actress Uschi Glas (78) was one of the prominent faces of the campaign at the forefront. However, she did not only meet with encouragement, as Glas now revealed in an interview with “Apotheken Umschau”.

In fact, the opposite was the order of the day: “I was insulted in the worst way. What really shocked me was the brutality of this news.” They even received death threats because of it. In the meantime, she has passed on the most serious messages, which she received in various ways, to her lawyer.

She would do it again

Especially as a public figure, she sees it as her responsibility to help in this way: “That’s my duty as a responsible citizen for the community. It’s not just about me,” says the 78- year-old, who has been involved in charitable causes for some time and also founded her own aid association, brotZeit eV.

Despite the negative comments, she would stand up for such a vaccination campaign at any time. In addition to Glas, moderator Günther Jauch (65) and soccer legend Sepp Maier (78) also spoke out for #ArmsUp.
