The artist Alexsandro Palombo has teamed up with six actresses, including the stars of the Desperate Housewives series, to raise awareness about domestic violence. A campaign more than necessary in this period of confinement.

This health crisis is undermining the rights of women and the security of many of them. Indeed, being in confinement is also dangerous for women victims of violence and therefore locked up with their executioner. Many associations in France are mobilizing to help these women. The government, for its part, has put in place mechanisms to make it easier for them to ask for help. This violence, which is more risky at the moment, is present around the world. This is why, in the United States too, certain initiatives are coming to raise awareness of this cause.

Stars have even mobilized to participate in these campaigns that could save lives. This is the case of six actresses. Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Lisa Edelstein, Olivia Wilde and Jennifer Morrison joined forces to participate in a project by artist Alexsandro Palombo. The actresses of Desperate Housewives and Dr House appear in pairs on photographs where they seem to have taken shots. The swollen faces and the distress in their looks remind us of the daily lives of women victims of violence who, in this complicated period, are more than ever in need of support and of seeing a possibility of fleeing their executioner.

On Instagram, artist Alexsandro Palombo expressed himself on the subject by revealing his poignant series of photographs. He writes: "Domestic violence is also a pandemic like the coronavirus. An awareness campaign against domestic violence to focus on the many women around the world forced to stay at home with violent partners during confinement. Current restrictions and forced cohabitation can mean an increase in daily ill-treatment, leading women to live in constant danger "

"Fighting for life", or "Fight for life", is the slogan of this awareness campaign: "If we hear screams or rumors of struggle coming from the neighbors' apartment, we must act" adds Alexsandro Palombo on social networks.
