Adam Schlesinger: Emmy winner dies of coronavirus at 52

The New York musician Adam Schlesinger (1967-2020) is dead. The lawyer for his band Fountains of Wayne, Josh Grier, confirmed the magazine "Rolling Stone" on Wednesday. Accordingly, he died of complications related to Covid-19. He had been hospitalized two weeks earlier and connected to a ventilator. The film music composer and songwriter turned 52.

Adam Schlesinger was awarded a Grammy and three Emmys in the course of his career, as well as an Oscar and a Golden Globe Award. Most recently, he received an Emmy for Outstanding Music and Poetry for "Anti-Depressants Are So Not a Big Deal" in the TV series "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" in 2019.
