Gilmore Girls star Adam Wylie was arrested at a supermarket. Did the actor not scan goods?

US actor Adam Wylie (39) is apparently in trouble with the police. The 39-year-old, known among other things for the series “Gilmore Girls”, was arrested about two weeks ago, according to People magazine. The accusation: alleged shoplifting. He was caught in a store in Burbank, California.

Police confirm complaint against Adam Wylie

The police department there confirmed that the actor was arrested on Friday, October 13, according to People. Previously, security guards at the discount store had apparently observed Wiley selecting “health and beauty products.” At the self-checkout, he allegedly “scanned only some of the items in his shopping cart,” the report continues.

According to authorities, the former child star was then stopped by security guards outside the store and escorted back inside, People reports. The items that Wylie allegedly did not pay for were worth $108.05 (around 102 euros).

The Burbank police then arrived and the officers filed a report of petty theft. Wylie was later released by authorities.

Adam Wylie was a child star

Adam Wylie became famous as a child. From 1992 to 1996 he played the role of Zachary Brock in the television series “Picket Fences – Tatort Gartenzaun”. He then starred as Brad Langford on Gilmore Girls. The actor also had numerous guest appearances in series such as “CIS”, “Malcolm in the Middle”, “Veronica Mars”, “General Hospital” and “Castle”.

Wylie also frequently appears in plays and musicals. These include the musical “Into the Woods”, in which he played the lead role in 2002, directed by Stephen Sondheim (1930-2021).
