Jubillar affair: the trial postponed?

A decision likely to be motivated by a mysterious call received within the remand center in which Cédric Jubillar is imprisoned, as reported by our colleagues at La Dépêche du Midi. This call, recorded on November 22 at the Seysses remand center, was not made by the main suspect but by one of his fellow prisoners. During a telephone conversation with his mother, the 33-year-old inmate discusses the Jubillar affair.

“But there is no proof, no proof… And Sofiane, and Sébastien and Mathieu, they don’t know them!”, declares the detainee on the telephone, as reported by our colleagues. To which his mother would have replied: “Ah! if they knew…”. Without confirming that this telephone call is at the origin of this decision by the prosecution, Franck Rastoul nevertheless confirms that a “additional information is procedurally required from the moment the investigating judges are removed from the case due to the indictment order.”
