The interim giant Adecco has just warned employees, former employees and former candidates about a potential leak of personal data. Last November, some temporary workers from Adecco had noted withdrawals of around fifty euros from their bank account.
Temporary workers working with Adecco had indeed noted deductions of 49.85 euros from their bank account, operated by a company called “Solfex France SASU”. At the time, Adecco assured that it had established “no link” between these levies and “the missions” of the temporary workers.
Adecco called the hacking operation an “attempt to extract data”. The fact remains that the company communicates to its contacts by mentioning that it has carried out a survey, which made it possible “to note that some of your personal data present in one of our information systems (surnames, first names, e-mail addresses and security numbers social) were potentially disclosed. We deeply regret this and apologize for any difficulties this may cause.”
The company also claims to have taken measures to secure the data entrusted to it, to have informed the CNIL (National Commission for Computing and Liberties), and to have filed a complaint.
