Trigger warning: This article deals with the topics of death, suicide and grief.
The death of a loved one is difficult to bear. You have to suddenly learn to get along without that one important person and the loss often comes suddenly. This is what happened to Adele Neuhauser, who unexpectedly lost her ex-husband.

Unfortunately, it is and remains unavoidable: death. Everyone has to learn to live with it. When Adele Neuhauser, 65, suddenly lost her ex-husband Zoltan Paul, †69, she had to deal with the topic of death in a different way and found a very clear attitude towards it.

Adele Neuhauser and dealing with death

The actress confronted death at an early age. A topic that is otherwise often avoided kept her busy. In an interview with “Bunte” she says that she had suicidal thoughts as a young woman. “Death does have a place. I’ve had so much to do with death in my life that I’m almost a bit arrogant and say: I’m no longer afraid of death,” she explains, making it clear that that it is a topic that she has accepted as part of life.

In the past, the 65-year-old has already spoken openly about the fact that she made a total of six suicide attempts, as “Bild” reported. However, at some point she consciously decided on her life and realized how good it was for her.

The sudden death of her ex-husband

Losing a loved one is a shock. This is what happened to the “Tatort” actress when her ex-husband Zoltan Paul suddenly died. “It’s still unbelievable,” she remembers of the actor’s death. She goes even deeper and remembers the man that Zoltan Paul was for her. “He is and remains the man in my life, even if he is no longer with us. He was a highly talented person, a great painter, actor, writer. Unfortunately, he didn’t have enough time to really live it all out,” she explains lovingly . Her comments make it clear how important the man is in her life to this day, and he lives on because she remembers him so fondly.

Zoltan Paul died unexpectedly of an aneurysm in 2022. This was genetically determined. When it happened, he and the actress were actually filming a film together. The ex-couple were together from 1981 to 2006. As she explains in the interview, they didn’t part on a bad note. “The breakup was my fault, but the moment we knew it was the best way forward, we were the best friends ever,” she explains.
