Adobe Firefly: New generation of AI creates even more realistic images and now also vector graphics

IMAGE EDITING PROGRAMS FOR PROFESSIONALS

Adobe gave an outlook on the future of artificial intelligence Firefly at Adobe Max. This should be able to create even more realistic images as well as vector graphics.

It was only in September that Adobe integrated its generative artificial intelligence “Firefly” into numerous products such as Photoshop and Express. The company is already showing the next generation of this at Adobe Max. It offers three innovations in particular: the Firefly Image 2 model for creating images, a module for creating vector graphics with Firefly and a tool for creating Adobe Express templates with Firefly.

According to Adobe, with Firefly Image 2 Model you can create even more impressive images. It is now possible to train the AI with your own image and thus take brand guidelines into account when creating graphics. Adobe calls this feature “Generative Match”.

Firefly Image 2 is intended to produce even more detailed images

The images themselves are intended to show more detail, including skin pores and foliage, as well as a greater depth of field. Firefly Image 2 should now understand text input better and, for example, know a larger number of sights.

Part of the new Firely Image 2 model is also generative AI for creating vector graphics. According to Adobe, it is the world’s first AI of its kind. For now, it is only available in a beta version. At the same time, with the “Design Model” Firefly now also offers the possibility of creating complete templates for Adobe Express using only text input.

The new AI creates much more realistic images.

As before, all graphics created with Firefly should be able to be used commercially without any problems. To do this, Adobe trained the AI using public domain works.
