The services of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal declared that the CEO of ADP, Augustin de Romanet, would continue at the request of the State to carry out his functions until the end of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, which will be held in next summer, i.e. after the expiration of his current mandate.

At the end of the event, the Head of State Emmanuel Macron will submit, as provided for by the Constitution, the name of the envisaged successor to the President of the National Assembly and the President of the Senate so that the appropriate parliamentary committees can decide on this appointment, Matignon said in a press release.

The Olympic Games will be held from July 26 to August 11 then the Paralympic Games from August 28 to September 8.

According to information published Monday by Le Monde, the State, majority shareholder of ADP, does not wish to grant a new full five-year mandate to Augustin de Romanet, 62, while the statutes of the public company require an age limit of 65 years.
