AEW: Fight Forever, the new wrestling game from iconic WWE developer Yuke’s, made official by THQ Nordic

The Japanese of Yuke’s started making wrestling games with WWF SmackDown! in 2000, under the direction of THQ Nordic. They have since delivered almost one game of the genre per year, including after the acquisition of the rights to adapt the franchise by 2K Games in 2013, until WWE 2K19 in 2018. Unfortunately, there was a falling out between the studio and the last publisher, bringing Yuke’s to abandon the series, now taken over by Visual Conceptsespecially with a WWE 2K22 with a longer development which marked a real evolution.

Yuke’s however, has not been idle since, designing a new wrestling game based on All Elite Wrestlinganother wrestling federation much younger than the WWEbecause launched in 2019. Visuals of the title had been presented during its development, but it is only today that it is fully formalized by its newly confirmed editor: THQ Nordichistorical partner of Yuke’s. He will be called AEW: Fight Forever and will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on a date that is still being kept secret.

The title will offer a gameplay modern with animations based on current wrestlers from theAEW, who use innovative offensive moves, often in tandem. Developers want transcribe an arcade feeling, offer a Career Mode where we can create our own character and improve it over the victories, and allow to customize the wrestlers, their entrances, teams and arenas. Other modes are provided, including from Tag Team on linebut also single fights and matches 3 way, 4 way, Leaderboard, Casino Battle Royale, Falls Count Anywhere, Unsanctioned Lights-Out and Exploding Barbed Wire Death.
