Affected: The Asylum, a sequel to the horror game announced to freak out even more in VR!

Revealed during VR Game Spotlight of the’EGX from London, Affected: The Asylum promises a scripted adventure in three acts where you may not come out alive! Within the confines of Red Park Asylumstrange phenomena like ghosts have recently been observed in this abandoned building. Curiosity taking over we will investigate the scene to find evidence and Fallen Planet Studios warns us to watch out for “chilling encounters” with the nurse. And it doesn’t stop at story mode.

Affected: The Asylum will also include The Assessmenta competitive 4-player multiplayer mode. This mode will feature “physical and mental challenges”. The Escape, meanwhile, will be a DLCs free (always a pleasure) inviting us to “dive deeper into the history of Red Park Asylum “. In collaboration with other players, it will be a question of solving “devilish puzzles” and pursuing a strange character.

Affected: The Asylum takes everything that made Affected: The Manor such an exciting and immersive experience, while adding new game modes, interaction mechanics and story-driven content. But the most interesting is yet to come, you can share this experience with 4 in coop! The Asylum will push you to your limits as you attempt to survive the night while trying to maintain decent sanity!

Affected: The Manor has come a long way since Samsung Gear VR. Even if it is not at the level of Resident Evil Village on PSVR 2it still constitutes today an excellent choice for anyone who would be tempted to shiver in VRdespite its short lifespan and limitations of gameplaywe were transported at the time by the gripping story and its particularly successful and harrowing use of sound.

No price details yet.but Fallen Planet Studios confirm thatAffected: The Asylum will be available on all major platforms VR in 2023so probably on MetaQuest 2, at PICOon PSVR 2 and in pc VR via Steam. As to The Escape DLCno release window is expected, but it will arrive well after launch.

If you haven’t taken the plunge yet, you can treat yourself to a Meta Quest 2 to the Fnac, Darty or Amazon for €449.99. You can also find good PCs for gamers there.
