Many large companies have defected to CES 2022, but that doesn’t stop them from showcasing a range of products through press releases posted online. This is for example the case of General Motors, whose catalog of electric cars will welcome three new models by 2023.

Without really going into details, the American manufacturer has lifted the veil on the Chevrolet Equinox EV and the Blazer EV. These two trendy SUVs will set foot on American soil next year to respond to the strong growth experienced by the segment of Sport Utility Vehicle in trendy version, explains the brand.

An aggressive price

The first opts for an aggressive pricing strategy with an estimated starting price of $ 30,000. Unfortunately, no technical data has been communicated. Same song for the second, of which we do not know the price or the characteristics. There is no doubt that GM should be more talkative in the months to come.

Conversely, the company was talkative about the Chevrolet Silverado (press release). This new electric pick-up is expected in 2023 at prices ranging between 40,000 and over 100,000 dollars depending on the version. In the idea, remember that this beautiful baby will be able to travel more than 640 kilometers once its battery is full.

Of course, autonomy will be impacted depending on the load it moves. Its towing capacity will also reach 4,500 kilos, while its rear tipper will be able to support 544 kilos of payload. And to move, this pick-up can count on its 664 horsepower and its impressive torque of 1057 Nm.

Impactful acceleration

This configuration will allow it to shoot 0 to 100 km / h in the space of 4.5 seconds all the same, a relatively short time for a vehicle of its stature. On the load side, its maximum power of 350 kW will allow it to recover 160 kilometers in just 10 minutes on compatible terminals.

Four-wheel steering, bidirectional load to power an electronic product, 17-inch LCD screen, 11-inch digital instrument cluster, 14-inch head display, air suspensions, SuperCruise for autonomous driving: this is what we can remember others of this Chevrolet Silverado.

On the other hand, no Crab mode – the ability of the rear axle to line up with the front axle to move diagonally – is mentioned in the press release, as can Tesla’s Cybertruck and the pick-up of the Hummer brand. This mode is however an interesting asset for maneuvering such machines.

All the news from General Motors seems for the moment reserved for the American market.
