(Boursier.com) — The Africa Development Solutions (ADS) Group, a high-impact pan-African multinational present in more than 20 countries and 7 sectors, has officially launched its West Africa Commodities (WAC) subsidiary dedicated to the trading and processing of agricultural products.
Committed to the local processing of African resources, the Group aims to become a major player in the trading, production and sale of raw materials in West Africa.
Based in Côte d’Ivoire, one of the continent’s agricultural powerhouses, West Africa Commodities (WAC) is a joint venture between ADS Group and Prime Prestige Import-Export, a company founded by Ivorian agribusiness entrepreneur Mohamed-Adnane ACHIROU . It aims to develop projects for the production, local processing and trade of raw materials – such as natural rubber, cashew nuts, palm oil or livestock – in a sustainable and responsible way.
“Investing in the local production and processing of our raw materials is fundamental to Africa’s local self-sufficiency and international leadership. The potential is immense and we are proud of this launch, which reflects the commitment of Africa Development Solutions to contribute to the economic and social well-being of African populations through innovative and sustainable solutions”, declared Mr. Samba BATHILY, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Africa Development Solutions (ADS) group.
West Africa Commodities (WAC) is also present in Guinea. The company contributes to the strengthening of national agricultural production capacities, to the employability, training and professional integration of young people through the employment opportunities it offers.
