US magazine Deadline speaks of an eight-figure sum for which a series adaptation of the comic series “Something Is Killing the Children” is to be created.
The comics are about a small town infested with monsters that eat children. Only a mysterious young woman has special powers to stop the gruesome goings-on. A perfect subject for bo Odar and Jantje Friese, whose series “Dark” and “1899” were both dark and mysterious.
When the children of Archer’s Peak start disappearing, everything seems hopeless. Most children never return, but those who do tell terrifying tales—impossible tales about terrifying creatures that dwell in the shadows. Their only hope of finding and eliminating the threat is the arrival of a mysterious stranger who believes the children and claims to see what they can see. Her name is Erica Slaughter.
