Despite the symptoms, T1 had decided to play their final against Gen.G which gave them a new league title. A total of six team members are now in isolation due to Covid.
The LoL season does not necessarily end as planned for T1 in LCK. After a historic season full of records and a perfect clean sheet that may not be matched anytime soon, the structure obtained its 10th domestic title and a place for the MSI by winning the playoffs in South Korea. But the day after this victory against Gen.G, management has decided to place the roster in solitary confinement until April 10.
In effect, 4 players and two staff members have tested positive for Covid. This Tuesday the head coach Choi “Pot” Seong-hun tested positive, but also Oner, Faker, Keria and Zeusor the trainer moment which had been reported on Monday. Obviously, the cases were already known since in interviews, the players considered that it was necessary to hold on for the final despite the symptoms. Faker explained for example in a press conference that “despite the fact that not everyone was feeling well and we had to play a difficult encounter, we remained focused until the end“.
The champion team will therefore be resting for a few more days, and T1 announces that the players are resting well and healing without problems. Finally, almost all LCK teams will have suffered the consequences of the pandemic during this season…
