To mark the release of Thomas Lilti’s latest feature film, A Serious Job, in theaters since September 13, here is a box set of three DVDs bringing together the greatest successes of the general practitioner filmmaker with an atypical career path.
On the program, Hippocrates, his second production following the journey of a young doctor (Vincent Lacoste) in the hospital environment, which earned him three nominations for the 2015 César (best film, best director and best original screenplay) and which offered Reda Kateb won her César for best supporting role.
Then move on to Country Doctor, his third feature film and biggest box office success (more than 1.5 million spectators) starring François Cluzet and Marianne Denicourt. And finally, end in style with Première Année, another public success for which he reunites with Vincent Lacoste who now plays a student who is repeating his first year of medicine for the third time.
