After a storm – Postler doesn’t give up trying to reach customers

Because the mudflow had made many roads impassable, the deliverer Matthias Ambrosch found new ways.

There used to be stagecoaches and postbuses, but now Matthias Ambrosch has discovered the Kanzelbahn: because mudslides had made many roads impassable in the communities of Treffen and Arriach during the previous week’s severe storms, the employee at the Villach delivery base was unable to drive to the households by car .But Ambrosch really wanted to deliver the mail, because some of the recipients are waiting longingly for it and urgently need the goods and messages. So for days he rode parcels and letters in a gondola on the Kanzelbahn to the Gerlitzen. At the valley station, his colleague Bianca Schabus helped him load them. From the mountain station, he then walked to the households. True to the motto: Where one door closes, another opens. Or: misplaced? – New way found!
