After an argument over his grades, a Spanish teenager shoots his family

The tragedy, which occurred on Tuesday evening in a rural area near Elche, 20 kilometers from the port city of Alicante (south-east of the country), was only discovered on Friday evening by a relative coming to news.

“The mother’s sister came to the house because she had no news from the family and that’s when her nephew told her that he had killed his father, his mother and his brother”, said said a police spokesman.

A shotgun

Alerted, the police found three bodies lying in the house. She arrested “a 15-year-old minor” who had been alone in the house with the bodies for three days.

The teenager said he ‘got into a fight with his mum about his grades at school’ and then used his dad’s shotgun to kill her, then gunning down his 10-year-old brother and finally his father.
