An accident at crazy speeds, threats and lots of alcohol – a driver in the Wachau causes wild scenes while fleeing from the police. In Horn, too, a 17-year-old went on a chase with the police that ended at a house wall.

It started with a seemingly harmless police operation in the Wachau. An ex-couple got into an argument. Bad words were spoken and, according to the “ex”, the Bosnian (35) then got into the car drunk. It didn’t take long before the officers discovered the driver. And he the officials. The result: The 35-year-old went full throttle. He raced through the towns at a hellish speed of 150 km/h until he lost control and caused an accident. Fortunately there was no material damage, but there was no trace of the driver. Rude awakening the next day. It was only the next day that uniformed people found him at his home address. There he refused the breathalyzer test, only to show up again at his former partner’s house a few hours later. There he had just under two per mille. The 35-year-old has now received a total of 19 advertisements. But that wasn’t enough: a day and a half later he threatened the woman. The man was then arrested.Chase in HornA 17-year-old who raced through Horn in a VW Golf also panicked. He responded to the police’s attempts to stop him with his lead foot. After the chase through the city, he left the road, crashed into a house wall and fled on foot. A little later he returned to the scene of the accident remorseful. His explanation: After the vehicle he registered didn’t work, he put summer tires on the license plates on the Golf.
