After bankruptcy – “It always rattles!” Klose calls for reinforcements

LASK is still at the top of the table after the 6th round of the Bundesliga. That is certain after the 4:1 (1:0) home win of the Upper Austrians against Altach on Saturday. Coach Miro Klose didn’t just want to accept the bankruptcy in Linz, but called for new players in an interview with “Sky”.

“The pressure is there from the start – but as a professional you have to be able to deal with pressure,” said the German world champion, one can do it, the other has to learn it. But we can only go so far with these players. I made that clear. That’s why I hope that we can now sit down and talk about different things.” Because the former super striker knows: “The bottom line is that we have far too few points for the chances we have up front, because it’s easy at the back rattles again and again!” Means: Reinforcements should come from behind! Klose: “We changed things up a bit in the second half, did well in positional play and created chances, equalised, but then it was 2-1 much too quickly. Of course it was a great shot, but we still have to get through the time span. We have to defend our goal. It’s all nice when you can play football like that up front, but we have to get behind the ball much faster. That’s our shortcoming.” Of course, LASK trainer Dietmar Kühbauer analyzed the game positively, saying: “In the first half we had the opportunity not only to lead 1-0, then it might have been easier for us. Altach built up a little differently in the second half. We started a little differently and had problems for the first 20 minutes because we weren’t that active on the ball anymore. It was very important for us that Branko (Jovicic; note) fired an unbelievable shot. In the end, the win is deserved, without a doubt. I was really happy that players who had been waiting a long time scored goals.”
