Amazon Prime Video announces the sequel to an action remake that brought them record numbers. That means a lot of time in the gym for Jake Gyllenhaal! That’s what we know so far.

Jake Gyllenhaal will soon be throwing punches again! Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that “Road House” is getting a second part. The reboot was able to break streaming records just two weeks after its launch.

Gyllenhaal will once again take on the role of Elwood Dalton (via TVLine), a former UFC fighter who was hired by Frankie (Jessica Williams) in Part 1 to protect her Road House from thugs.
It turns out that there is more to the bar fights than he initially thought. He even ends up having to fight an insane villain named Knox, played by real-life former UFC fighter Conor McGregor.
Unfortunately, no details about the plot are known yet. But that will probably be a minor issue in the film. The focus here is clearly on the spectacular fights! Since part 1 was only released in March 2024, we expect a release date in spring 2025 at the earliest.
