Unknown perpetrators broke into an uninhabited commercial property in Hartberg on Thursday evening and stole several vehicle keys. Then they drove off in a suitable car.
In the open air, they finally removed the license plates from a parked car and mounted them on a white Renault Clio car that was parked without a license plate. Then the perpetrators drove by car to Halbenrain in the district of southeast Styria.
The burglars left the vehicle dirty there. The police finally found the car shortly before three o’clock in a relatively remote forest.
The car was subject to forensic evidence. Now the investigation continues. The break-in into the company building resulted in property damage of several thousand euros.
