After Corona break – KAC celebrates “Shutout” victory at Vienna Capitals

After a twelve-day Corona break, KAC returned victorious to the ICE Hockey League. The champions prevailed 2-0 (1-0, 1-0, 0-0) against the Vienna Capitals on Tuesday evening. The Klagenfurt team moved up to third place in the table for the time being, while the Viennese remain sixth. Leaders Salzburg didn’t show any weaknesses in another follow-up game in Linz. The guests won 4:1 (1:0,0:1,3:0) against the Black Wings, who were bottom of the table.

In the end, KAC, who are strong on the road, celebrated a shutout with the best home team in the league. Even without injured players like Nick Petersen or Thomas Koch, the Red Jackets managed to take the lead in what was often a chaotic game. Matt Fraser (19th) scored just before the first third break.
