Elon Musk’s X platform briefly blocked Yulia Navalnaya’s account “for violating X’s rules.” Shortly afterwards the account was online again.
The widow of Alexei Navalny, who died in Russian custody, had announced that he would continue to pursue his goals.
“I will continue Alexei Navalny’s cause,” said Yulia Navalnaya in a video message published on YouTube. She will “continue to fight for our country,” she said. “I call on you to stand by my side.”
Yulia Navalnaya had set up the account just a day earlier, on Monday, after announcing that she would succeed her husband in his political battle. She posted a video accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin of killing Alexei Navalny and wrote on Tuesday that she “didn’t care” about the Kremlin’s comments.
