The next game from the creators of Elden Ring would once again be the victim of a leak. And the least we can say is that the information communicated is rather juicy.
FromSoftware has pulled out all the stops to offer us simply unforgettable games. In recent years, we have notably been treated to Elden Ring or Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, two titles having won the “Game of the Year” distinction. More recently, the new opus of the Armored Cored franchise came out of the Japanese studio’s ovens. All eyes are now on the future: what will the firm’s next game be? Good news, we may know more about him.
After Elden Ring, an equally ambitious game?
Currently, FromSoftware is working on a huge expansion planned for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree. Unfortunately, we have almost no information about it, apart from an illustration. And that’s about all we know about the studio’s future projects. However, rumors reach us from time to time to reveal potential secrets of the development teams. The most recent of them explains to us that a PS5 exclusivity would be in the works.
This news comes to us from the insider Brazil, which also calls itself Vergeben or Verge. During a livestream, the latter made a big revelation about the creators of Elden Ring. According to him, they are working tirelessly on a game that will be exclusive to the Sony console. If we would have liked additional details, we will have to settle for that. We will still take the information with a pinch of salt, since insider Brazil has almost as many successes as failures. But if we’re talking about it today, it’s mainly because it’s not the first time that this PS5 exclusivity has been mentioned. This “leak” has in fact already surfaced in the past, and the fact that we are hearing about it again suggests that there may be some truth to it.
As a bonus, these different information leaks join another piece of information obtained last March, and officially this time. It was in fact producer Kennet Chan (Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3…) who had somehow spilled the beans on his LinkedIn profile. He had updated his page to inform us that he had become the producer of a title unreleased since January 2022, just before the release of Elden Ring. As they say, it’s starting to add up. According to rumors, this mysterious work is closer to Dark Souls. Some players even suggest that it could be Bloodborne 2.
FromSoftware sets the stage
One thing is certain, the studio is in the process of setting up a large-scale project for the post-Elden Ring era. To do this, he will need to strengthen his ranks. According to IGN Japan, FromSoftware wants to organize webinars in December to recruit for key roles in different disciplines. The goal being to work on future games, to “ participate in the next chapter » as the firm itself said. Will part of the recruited workforce be dispatched to this famous PS5 exclusive?
