Catherine’s cancer was only discovered after she underwent a major abdominal operation at the London Clinic last January. Kensington Palace said it would not give details about the type of cancer the princess has, or its stage, and asked people not to speculate.
In a statement released this evening, Her Majesty said she was “very proud of Catherine for the courage she showed in speaking as she did“and that she remained”in close contact with his beloved daughter-in-law”. The king and queen declared that they “will continue to offer love and support to the entire family during this difficult time“.
